Crime of the Week

 February 19, 2010

Sheriff Al Solomon reported today that Deputies and Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office are investigating multiple incidents of breaking and entering and theft which were reported early yesterday morning. At least two outbuildings were entered at separate locations near SR363 and Fisher and Koverman Road which is east of Minster. A large number of tools were stolen from the outbuildings. The suspects also trespassed on at least two other properties in that area and stole items. Items taken consist of a car which was later recovered, a handgun, and money. The total value of items taken from these locations is around $7500. The incidents occurred between midnight and 7 a.m. The incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information on the incident or suspicious activity in the area between these times is asked to contact the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office at 419-739-6565. Sheriff Al Solomon would like to remind residents to not leave any valuables or keys in their parked vehicles, even if the vehicles are parked inside a garage or building. Secure all garages and outbuildings.


February 10, 2010

Sheriff Al Solomon reported today that Deputies and Detectives from the Sheriff's Office are investigating multiple incident of breaking and entering and theft which were reported early yesterday morning.  At least three outbuildings were entered at separate locations near US33 and Glynwood New Knoxville Road.  The suspects also trespassed on at least two other properties in that area and stole items. 

Items taken consist of a pickup truck, trailer, 2 all terrain vehicles, and tools.  The total value of items taken from these locations is around $18,000.00.  The incidents occurred between midnight and 7:00 a.m.  The incidents remain under investigation.

December 9, 2009

The New Knoxville Police Department and the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office are investigating a burglary to the New Knoxville American Legion, located at 204 Mill Street in the Village of New Knoxville.  The burglary took place between closing time December 2, 2009 and 11:00 a.m. December 3, 2009.

Force was used to gain entry to the business.  Items were stolen.  Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the New Knoxville Police Department or the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.


November 25, 2009

The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of a large amount of tools from a construction trailer and house under construction.  The theft took place between 8:00p.m. November 16, 2009 and 8:00a.m. November 17, 2009, located at  62 Market Street, in the village of New Hampshire.

Subjects forcibly entered the tool trailer, removing several tools.  The home was also entered with tools and power equipment being taken.  Anyone with information concerning the theft is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.   

 


October 20, 2009

The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported theft of Halloween lawn ornaments.  The ornaments were large hand made decorations with a total value of over $200.00. 

 

 

     The incident took place between 8:00 p.m. October 15, 2009 and 7:00 a.m. October 16, 2009.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.


October 7, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating a vandalism complaint involving a motor vehicle.  The incident occurred in the 22,000 block of S.R.66, Salem Township, just south of Spencerville.  The incident took place between 9:15 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. on September 24, 2009.

     A north bound vehicle came up behind a second, slower north bound vehicle at the location.  The first vehicle went out to pass the second vehicle.  As the first vehicle was passing, an object struck the front passenger side window causing it to shatter.

     The second vehicle is described as being a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, continued north bound.  Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565, as deputies are wanting to speak with the occupants of the Monte Carlo.


September 30, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating a residential burglary, located within the Columbia Square Trailer Park.  Columbia Square Trailer Park is located at the East edge of St.Marys.

     The incident took place on August 9, 2009 between12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.  Someone entered a trailer while the occupants were away and removed several items.  Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565, or their local law enforcement agency.


September 16, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident involving theft and vandalism.  The incident took place at a local business, located in the 12,000 block of Aqueduct Rd. just south of St.Marys.

     Sometime between 12:00 a.m., August 13, 2009 and 5:00 p.m., August 19, 2009, subjects removed a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at the business.  Another vehicle parked there received damage also.

September 9, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft complaint, which took place on Dickman Dr., Sandy Beach subdivision, just west of St.Marys.  The theft took place between 6:00 p.m. August 31, 2009 and 8:00 a.m. September 1, 2009.

     Subjects entered a house, which is under construction and removed building supplies.  Anyone with information concerning the theft is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.


September 2, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating the breaking and entering of a mobile home, in the Columbia Square Trailer Park, located at the East edge of St.Marys.  The incident took place on August 25, 2009 between 5:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

     Someone forced entry into the residence, and removed medication.  Subjects also entered a vehicle parked at the trailer.  Anyone with information in connection with this incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.


August 14, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating numerous complaints of vehicles being vandalized and broken into in the Village of Waynesfield between August 8th., and August 12th., 2009.  Items have been taken from some of the vehicles.  Anyone with information on these incident, or anyone who observes suspicious persons or activities late at night are asked to contact the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.


August 7, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigation a vandalism complaint.  The incident occurred at a local business, located in the 16,000 block of C.R.66A in Noble Township, approximately three miles north of St.Marys.

     The incident took place between 3:30p.m. Saturday August 1st., 2009 and 7:00a.m. Monday August 3rd., 2009.  Several vehicles parked at the business had their windows shot out.

July 28, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating the burglary to an outbuilding located in the 20000 block of S.R. 66, about 6 miles north of St.Marys.  The outbuilding was entered and tools were taken.  The incident took place between the late evening of July 15 and the early morning of July 17, 2009.  Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.


July 8, 2009

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is investigating a residential burglary that took place in the 17000 block of St.Marys River Road, about 3 miles north of St.Marys.  The burglary took place on June 24, 2009 between 3:00p.m. and 4:00p.m.  A large television was taken from the home.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565.

WANTED PERSON


Chuckie J. Williams

     The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office holds an active arrest warrant for Chuckie J. Williams, 26 years of age.  Chuckie was last known to live in Celina, Ohio but frequents the St.Marys area.  The warrant is for failing to report back to jail to serve a court ordered jail sentence.  Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Chuckie is urged to contact the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office at 419-739-6565 or their local law enforcement agency.
