The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office is staffed by 12 full-time, highly trained communication experts. Our dispatchers are the heart of the office, receiving complaints and calls for help to ensure that the proper Law Enforcement, Fire Department, Paramedics, or Emergency Response Teams are notified and deployed.

The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office operates with an Enhanced 911 System. This system automatically identifies the caller's telephone number and address. Every call received through this system is treated as a high-priority emergency involving the need for immediate assistance to protect life or property.

When Calling 911

Stay calm and be prepared to provide the following information to the dispatcher:

  • Exact Location of the emergency
  • The nature of the emergency (Police, Fire, or Medical)
  • Number of people involved (and names, if known)
  • Are weapons involved?
  • Any history of the individuals involved or hazards at the scene
